Madhuri Dixit has ruled the roost for many years now. The ‘dhak-dhak’ girl has a huge fan following and that became evident when country wide promotions for her upcoming ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ had to be cancelled as the maker’s could not afford her exorbitant security cost.
According to a report, the medium budget film ‘ Dedh Ishqiya’ that was made on a budget of around 16-17 crores could not afford their superstar Madhuri Dixit’s security cover and hence decided to promote the film in Delhi alone.
The city promotions apparently were coming up-to-be around Rs 6 lakhs per city and the makers felt it was an unnecessary expenditure. Madhuri Dixit who is usually accompanied by three to four bouncers had to be given extra security arrangements because of her huge fan base to avoid any unpleasant experiences.
The team was earlier supposed to travel to Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Indore as well.
