Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq has said he is merely a postman saying he will deliver the message to the Taliban and bring their reply.
“I say to the nation that it should not hold high expectations from me. I am a postman. I will deliver the government’s message to Taliban and whatever their reply is, I will deliver it back to the government,” he said this while talking in a private TV channel show on Saturday.
“Nawaz Sharif gives no guarantee of stopping drone strikes. But he wants Taliban to lay down their arms and stop the war. This is a ridiculous thing,” he underlined.
“A task is assigned to such a person who can practice authority, saying such are your powers and you can go to this extent and not beyond. I am just a messenger”, he remarked.
