Altaf’s speech misquoted by media: Khalid Maqbool

Senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi has blamed that Altaf Hussain’s speech was misquoted by a section of the media.
Talking to reporters on Saturday, Khalid Maqbool was of the view that MQM chief in his telephonic address to a public gathering in Hyderabad, unveiled the harsh realities which are intolerable for the opponents.
He claimed that what Altaf said was callous truth and it created panic in the ruling class which was deceiving the nation by hiding facts.
The MQM leader said that his party chief fearlessly told the masses, what the ground realities are, instead of telling lies to satisfy them.
Khalid Maqbool said that Altaf’s speech should be looked into setting aside the prejudice and political differences. He was of the opinion that only then it will convey what he wanted to say.
The MQM chief always speaks the truth and urges others also to keep the nation aware of realities, he added.
The MQM leader said that Altaf Hussain did not want division of Pakistan or Sindh but warned that the prevailing situation can lead to such circumstances when repeated violation of basic rights will take the masses to streets.
