Role of Sami and Fazl

As Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has named Maulana Samiul Haq as the government’s point man and icebreaker in the proposed negotiations, the TTP has ruled out any possibility of talks with the government, sticking to its stance that it could not contemplate the same until “security officials stopped targeting its leaders”, according to Ehsanullah Ehsan, the group’s former spokesman, who said the TTP will issue a formal response later. He came down hard on Maulana Samiul Haq and Maulana Fazlur Rehman and accused them of pursuing their political agenda under the pretext of the talks. One doesn’t see anything wrong with their demand. Every sane person can see who is playing the whole negative role in all this and why. “The same forces were active in 60s and that too in the same direction which resulted into the Bangladesh fiasco results of which the whole world is seeing. But we won’t learn our lessons as a lot of dirty money (as a result of protecting the interests of masters) and even more dirty personal interests of the true ruling elite are involved”, as commented a leading security observer.
