Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), leaving the construction project of U-Turns on Murree Road incomplete, is now mulling over to start new project on Peshawar Road (Mall Road).
Per details, officials of RDA will deliver the briefing to the Cantt Station Commander on January 9, 2014 in regard to make Peshawar Road as signal free avenue from Tarnol to Rawat.
As per RDA officials, estimated cost of Rs 50 million will be spent on the 5 U-turns of Murree Road from Faizabad to Mareer Chowk. These U-turns will be made at Naaz Cenima Chowk, Saint PaulHigh School, RDA office and Mareer Chowk.
Incompletion of U-turns on the main squares of the city will increase the difficulties for citizens. Public sectors have demanded from concerned authorities to take serious measures to restart the work on U-turns.
Shah also said that there was no demand under discussion regarding imposition of Sharia in the country. He said that the members would try to address the concerns of the religious parties but it would take some time to yield positive results.
