Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MPA Rauf Siddiqui on Thursday wrote a letter to British Prime Minister David Cameron and Scotland Yard, seeking their intervention into what he said media trial and propaganda against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
Siddiqui wrote that there was no case registered against Hussain but he was still being mentally tortured by the British authorities.
“Why MQM chief Altaf Hussain is being troubled by baseless propaganda there?” asked Rauf Siddiqui.
He said they were fully cooperating with the Scotland Yard in the investigation of Imran Farooq murder case. Farooq was murdered on 16 September 2010 in London.
The Scotland Yard had launched an investigation and had arrested a suspect who was released later for lack of evidence.
Farooq had co-founded the All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organisation (APMSO), the parent organisation of the MQM, with Altaf Hussain. He was deputy convener of the party, technically next in line to the MQM chief.
