At least three soldiers were killed on Tuesday in a suicide car bombing targeting the security headquarters in the southern Yemen city of Aden,  police officials said.

The car rammed and exploded into the front gate of the security office in the early hours of Tuesday, killing three soldiers and leaving several others injured.

Two other attackers attempted to follow the first attack and ram their explosive laden vehicle in the second assault but their attempt was aborted and they were arrested by security officials.

Al Qaeda’s Yemen affiliate is suspected to be behind the attacks.

The officials added that the two held terrorists are being grilled.
