CRM urges government to allocate more funds for children

Children First Islamabad in collaboration with Punjab CRM and Save the Children launched a report on “Budgeted Analysis from Child Rights Perspective”.

Children First’s Memoona Khan briefed about the contents of the report and also requested the audience to develop the way forward for the advocacy of the report.

While Imdad from Sanjog shared the current child rights situation in the country, Sajjad Cheema urged that government and NGOs should be conscious about the recommendations put forward.

Zafar Ahsan shared the process of budget making and analysed the current budget from child rights’ perspective.

Mahreen from Punjab CRM stressed the government to increase budget for education, health and protection for the children.

Home Department Assistant Director Arshad Malik said the government was committed to improving the situation of children as children were the future of the country.
