Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Patron-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday said that defending former president Pervez Musharraf in treason case is also ‘treason’.
Bilawal wrote a message on a Twitter, “Musharraf’s defence in the treason case is also treason. Attempts to incite armed forces to come to his aide is desperate & disgusting.”
Musharraf on Sunday said that the Pakistan Army was upset for his trial under treason charges, claiming that the army was backing him.
The former army chief, who is chief of his party – All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) – is summoned by a Special Court in high treason case on the charges of subverting the constitution and imposing emergency in November 2007.
