Former chief of army staff (COAS) Gen (r) Mirza Aslam Baig on Monday said that the armed forces were not annoyed over treason case against former president Pervez Musharraf, but have objection that why only him and not others.
Talking to reporters, the former COAS said, “All who abrogated constitution before Musharraf and assisted in it should be also put under trial, as besides Musharraf high profile judges also participated in this unconstitutional act.”
Expressing his views on the speech of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Baig said that the tone adopted by Bilawal and his father was an identity mark of downfall of the Bhuttos.
He said, “Why Bilawal is forgetting while declaring Mullah Omer as fake ‘Khaleefa’ that his mother had accepted his government in Afghanistan.”
The person who is being declared as fake ‘Khaleefa will be the ruler of Afghanistan in coming days, he added.
Baig said that Musharraf would have been in the government and former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry in jail, if Gen (r) Ashfaq Kayani had supported Musharraf.
He said Kayani had refused to become a party and delivered the message to the army to keep itself away from politics.
He said further the ‘Billa’ (tomcat) which has been declared as milk drinker, it takes milk but, father of Bilawal has squeezed the blood of people for five years.
