A road that leads to Karachi Bilawal House from BoatBasin has been blockaded with containers, police said Sunday.

It should be mentioned here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced to stage a sit-in in front of Bilawal House today to protest against the blocked roads and wall around Bilawal House.

The Sindh government had earlier opened one side of the thoroughfare for the public as news of PTI protest spread. However, today, the roads were blocked again with containers and water tankers.

The PTI said the blockage of roads around Bilawal House over security concerns is causing serious troubles to the local residents of the area; hence, the roads should be opened for the common citizens.

According to traffic police, DIG South Abdul Khaliq Sheikh ordered the blockade.

A heavy contingent of police officers was also deployed in the area, while water cannon were put on standby.

  1. Karachi is one of the 10 biggest cities in the world. Give Karachi its own metropolitan government and shift the capital of Sindh to Larkana. This way I think 90% of all the problems of Karachi and Karachites will be solved. Maybe even Bilawal House can be shifted to Larkana.

  2. Blocking public roads is illegal. There is also a limit on how high a boundary wall can be built. The City administration should open the roads and serve notice on Bilawal House to bring the boundary wall in line with city code within 30 days. If it is not done, demolish the wall.

  3. The DC South Mr Qazi Jamal Mustafa, a non qualified , who was given this post because of his association with the party in power in Sindh. Mr Q J Mustafa has made all the money (bought a house for Rs 70 Million DHA karachi ) few months ago . He was a credit card defaulter three years ago. made all the tainted money by giving personal service to the step brother of the big boss. He is illiterate and has no idea other than making bribe money so all he can do is follow his masters.

Hopefully CM, Chief Secretary and the Administration will take notice of giving such posts to unqualified persons. God Bless us
