Pakistan’s former military ruler Pervez Musharraf Sunday denounced treason charges against him as a “vendetta” and said he had the backing of the country’s powerful army.
The 70-year-old told reporters the “whole army” was upset with the treason allegations, in his first comments to international media since he was put under house arrest in April.
“I would say the whole army is upset. I have led the army from the front,” Musharraf told reporters.
“I have no doubt with the feedback that I received that the whole army is… totally with me on this issue.”
The military has not made any clear public comment on Musharraf’s cases.
The man is foolish, he still doesn't realize the jeopardy he is in. Him and his rag tag bunch of idiotic lawyers think they can get him out by screaming and shouting. Well, scream all you want Mr. Musharraf, no one is listening.
Better fire all your lawyers, get a good new lawyer to defend you properly. Don't make the same mistake Bhutto made – belittle the judiciary, look where he ended up!

but the pertinent point is.nawaz sharif and his party part of this [if]treason.they took oath from him.stayed in his presidency for two months in the government,they must also be tried for treason and so zardari who sent him off after many months.
Gen Musharraf is fearful and delusional. He never thought he would be tried under article 6 because for generals committing high treason has been a game and they thought they can always get away with that. The world has changed from Latin America to Indonesia to Turkey and Pakistan would not be reverted to Egypt.
There are petty crimes like theft and corruption then there are crimes that carry certain death like multiple murders and high treason.
