Punishing BB assailants is responsibility of courts: Malik

Former interior minister Rehman Malik on Friday said that all accused involved in assassination of Benzair Bhutto (BB) were arrested and now it’s the responsibility of courts to punish them.
While talking to reporters at the Sukkur airport, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senator said, “The assailants for former Prime Minster (PM) were arrested and presented before the courts in the government of PPP, however to punish them is the responsibility of courts not government.”
He said the accused who planned the conspiracy of Benzair Bhutto’s murder in South Waziristan, the persons who provided suicide jacket and all who took them from Akora Khattak to Pirwadhai were arrested after verification.
Former minister said that, one person naming ‘Chitan’ was killed in drone attack and 2 more were killed on check posts. All 3 persons had had done important revelations but anti state elements silenced them forever after killing them.
He said, all 3 killed were identified and presented before the court but it is not the responsibility of government to make accuse the culprit, hopefully courts will punish the killers of Benazir Bhutto.
Malik said, he still declares Taliban as ‘Zaliman’ and if government is doing negotiations with Taliban then it is a good omen.
“Mullah Fazal Ullah is in Afghanistan and Afghan government should take action against killer of innocent people,” he concluded.
