PPP richest, PML-Z poorest political party: ECP

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) as richest party of the country while Pakistan Muslim League-Zia (PML-Z) as the poorest party.
The ECP has issued details of assets of all political parties on Thursday.
According to ECP, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) owns assets of Rs 88.7 million while it had spent more than Rs 50.6 million on election campaign.
The PPP has assets of 19 crore and 1.1 million while income of this party remained 3 crore and 5.6 million rupees this year.
The ECP disclosed that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has assets of more than hundred million rupees.
The Jamat-e-Islami (JI) has assets of 4.1 million and 23 thousand rupees while details of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) assets have not been issued.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) has 1.1 million and 24 thousand assets and price of Qaumi Watan Party’s (QWP) assets is Rs 111,000. The PML-Z has been declared as the poorest party of the country as it has shown assets of only Rs 30,000.
