The Supreme Court withdrew the contempt notice against Balochistan Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Major Gen Ejaz Shahid after he appeared before the case in missing persons case.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk heard the case.
During the proceedings, Justice Ejaz Afzal inquired from IGFC counsel Irfan Qadir about the involvement of paramilitary forces in Balochistan missing persons. He further asked details about the measures adopted by FC in this regard.
Irfan Qadir informed the court that they would present detailed written reply in the court pertaining to missing persons.
The IGFC told the apex court that the name of Koh Khan was included in missing persons, however, police recovered him from Quetta.
In his remarks, Ejaz Shahid said six FC men were accused of kidnapping Khan but his recovery by police proved this impression wrong. The court also asked the IGFC to present his verdict in a detailed report.
