Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has been reinstated as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)chairman after getting a clean chit from a NAB post an enquiry of his involvement in the cases related to Rs6 billion National Insurance Company (NICL) scam, a private news channel reported on Thursday.
Earlier in November, the Supreme Court had ruled prosecution of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry for his alleged involvement in NICL scam. He was alleged of being involved in an illegal appointment of the ex-chairman NICL Ayaz Khan Niazi, while working as the additional secretary in ministry of commerce.
Chaudhry was on leave during the NAB probe and has now resumed office after being cleared of the allegations due to ‘lack of evidence.’
What a suprise?
