Indus River System Authority (IRSA) has rejected recommendation of National Assembly’s Standing Committee for Water and Power to induct a FATA member in IRSA.
Spokesman of IRSA, Khalid Idrees Rana Wednesday told media that entry of any new member can only be made by approval of Parliament.
“According to Parliamentary Act, provincial representatives have been assigned in IRSA and entry of new member can only be made after making an amendment through Parliament,” he mentioned.
