Eight coal miners have been kidnapped by armed militant from Harnai district in Balochistan, according to a report of a private news website on Wednesday.
According to report, dozens of armed men abducted eight coal miners from Shahrag area of Harnai district and took them toward the mountains. The miners belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and had been working in the coal mines for more than a decade.
The security forces have launched a search operation to recover the kidnapped workers.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks as yet.
Last year, seven abducted coal miners were found dead in Quetta.
