A local court in Khyber Pakhtunkhwah (KPK) has sent KPK’s former inspector general police (IGP) Malik Naveed on a 10 day physical remand to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday.
Malik Naveed has been allegedly involved in the Rs 1.82 billion arms scam.
Former IG’s counsel Barrister Zahoor Ahmed in his arguments before the court pleaded for the release of his client. He said investigation of the case has completed and nothing has been proved, therefore, it is unjustified to further enhance his client’s detention.
Whereas, the government prosecutor pleaded to the court for further 15 days remand but the court granted 10 days remand to NAB for investigation.
