Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), which is an ally of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the centre and member of opposition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has announced to stage a protest sit-in in Peshawar on January 26 against what it called ‘PTI-led KP government’s failure to resolve public issues’.
Speaking to reporters, the JUI-F’s Attaur Rehman claimed that the KPK government has failed in restoring peace in the province and resolving public issues. He said all opposition parties will be invited to join the protest.
The JUI-F leader claimed an increase in incidents of extortion, target-killing and abduction for ransom under the reign of PTI.
“The PTI has failed to provide security to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP),” Rehman added.
He announced that his party will stage a sit-in outside KPK Assembly on January 26.
The JUI-F announced the move a day after PTI held a massive protest rally against inflation in Lahore, the hub of PML-N’s politics.
