5.2-magnitude quake strikes parts of Balochistan, Sindh

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale occurred 137 kilometers north west of Karachi on Monday.

There were no immediate reports of any damage to life or property.

According to the meteorological department, the earthquake was reported to have taken place at a depth of 50 kilometers.

An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Ricther scale hit parts of upper Sindh and Balochistan three days ago.

Earlier in September, an earthquake measuring 7.9 on the richter struck the under developed areas of central Balochistan that flattened the district of Awaran.

As many as 500 people are believed to have died in the September earthquake and subsequent aftershocks. Nearly 120,000 people were made homeless due to the tremblor.
