Security plan for Chehlum given final shape

The police have made elaborate security arrangements on the occasion of Imam Hussain (AS)’s Chehlum in the capital city.

Police sources said that the 12 imam bargahs and 13 churches in the city would be provided special security, while a contingent of 2,000 security personnel would be deployed at the Chehlum procession.

Moreover, a 50-member contingent of Rangers would be available as quick response force.

Aerial surveillance of the procession would also be arranged, sources said.

Sources also said that mobile phone services would also be suspended on the route procession through jammers and trade activities would be suspended within 100 metres of the procession. The use of loudspeakers would also be banned.
