A special meeting of judges of Anti Terrorism Courts (ATC) was held on Saturday in Lahore High Court (LHC) to discuss the matters related to early disposal of terror related pending cases and cases of juvenile prisoners.
The meeting was presided over by Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik, administrative judge of LHC. Judges of ATC, Punjab Additional Prosecutor General Abdul Samad, regional police officers of the province and other relevant officers attended the meeting.
Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik while heading the meeting took strong notice of possession of mobile phones by the inmates of jail and summoned Jails IG in next meeting.
Justice Manzoor also expressed displeasure over the pendency of cases under National Judicial Policy and directed police officers to complete the challan in time and present them in the courts besides ensuring attendance of investigation officers and presence of witnesses in the courts.
