The government has decided to bring a constitutional amendment bill in regard to reinstate the provincial quota system of Central Superior Services (CSS).
Details said the provincial quota was allocated in the constitution of 1973 for the CSS officers from backwards areas. The duration of this quota was 40 years which has ended in 2013 now.
Sources said that Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed has decided to bring the amendment bill in Parliament, while concerned committee has also approved this bill.
The cabinet has decided to continue the quota system for another 20 years and the bill is expected to be presented in next session of assembly for approval.
