An abducted seven-year-old boy was recovered by the law enforcers after encounter with kidnappers at Shahrae Noor Jehan area of Karachi on Saturday.
According to the City Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) chief Ahmed Chinoy, the suspects had kidnapped Yaseen and demanded Rs 6 million as ransom from his father on telephone.
The father of the kidnapped child contacted the police after which CPLC and Anti Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) conducted raid to apprehend the kidnappers.
During operation, the abductors opened fire at the law enforcers and were killed in subsequent exchange of fire and the abducted child was recovered safely.
Two TT pistols, a mobile phone and a motorcycle were also recovered from the kidnappers.
