The workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday held a rally in the capital against price hike in the country.

The PTI office bearers and workers took out the rally from Super Market to National Press Club (NPC). Participants of the demonstration led by MNA Nafeesa Khattak were carrying placards inscribed with slogans against the government and International Monetary Fund (IMF). They called for immediate measures to check the soaring prices of essential items.

Separately, through a letter forwarded to the Ministry of Interior, PTI protested against the withdrawal of their party chief Imran Khan’s security protocol.

PTI leader Jahangir Tareen stated that Khan was the chief of a political party and was facing ‘threats from extremists’.

The PTI leader termed the withdrawal of Khan’s security under the prevailing circumstances as worrying and requested the government to provide better security.

Earlier on Thursday, PTI claimed that Khan was receiving threats by militants after he criticized attacks on polio vaccination teams.

  1. Ik is moving in the right direction in KPK and we are sure that he can change the fate of the country.

  2. It is true that process of change has started, but the pace is slow. I think that khan sb should restrct his protests to assembly and focus on developments and reforms within ko . These darnas and protests take his presious time, energy and resources.

  3. if anything happened to IK, pakistanis should take control of noora and his family and cut their heads off in public..
