The Awami National Party (ANP) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senators on Friday called for probe against alleged military operation in North Waziristan Agency (NWA).
Speaking in the Senate, ANP leader Afrasiab Khattak said that innocent people, including women and children, were being killed in Miranshah and Mirali.
He called on President Mamnoon Hussain to use his constitutional powers for improvement of situation in the tribal areas.
PPP Senator Raza Rabbani also demanded that the president play his constitutional role in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
