2 killed, SHO injured in Karachi bombing

Two people were killed and another 21 injured after terrorists targeted Mauripur police station house officer (SHO) near Old Sabzi Mandi.
According to reports, SHO Shafiq Tanoli told Senior Superintendent of Police Farooq Awan that a terrorist riding a motorcycle targeted his vehicle.
An initial inspection by the Bomb Disposal Squad revealed that between two and three kilogrammes of explosives were used and that the bomb contained ball bearings as well.
Tanoli’s vehicle caught fire after the bombing. Tanoli was the investigation officer in the Wali Khan Babar murder case. He was also involved in operations against the terrorists of the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and other powerful gangs in Mauripur.
