Rawalpindi police has started conducting survey of private hostels for men and women located in Rawalpindi city and cantt.
The police have sought the pictures and particulars of all of those persons who are residing in the private hostels as part of measures being taken to avert recurrence of Rawalpindi tragedy like incidents. The survey is aimed at bringing the hostels under the relevant rules and regulations and monitoring the activities therein.
The survey is being carried out in respect of all the private hostels located in Rawalpindi city and cantt. The lists of all old and new hostels are being prepared. Searching process will soon be started in these hostels.
Over 300 private hostels are functioning in Rawalpindi city and cantt and thousands of people are living therein. About 150 hostels are operating in new town circle.
