The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has given good news to the citizens by putting a hold on raising electricity charges for time being.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has requested to raise power price up-to 45 paisa/unit.
Instead, NEPRA has asked NTDC and CPPA to present electricity purchase and production record.
“Re-hearing of the application will be after the submission of the record regarding the raise in the electricity charges,” NEPRA officials responded to the applicant.
