Don’t accept ‘Western-imposed’ borders: TTP

Terming the Pakistani government as not “independent” and the international borders as “Western-imposed” borders, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesperson has said that his organisation does accept national borders, and that the group can only enter peace talks with an independent government.
Pakistani Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid has slammed the government for their inability to establish peace in the nation by saying “Let them practise what they preach”.
Shahid said that the group’s policy is Sharia-based, and not political. He rejected news of changed made to their policy after the selection of new chief Mullah Fazlullah.
The spokesperson said the TTP’s war is against western secularism, of which’s system and education, his organisation believed, had been enforced on Pakistan and its people for more than 200 years.
Talking about the TTP’s policy post-2014, after withdrawal of the international forces from Afghanistan, Shahid said that Pakistani Taliban and Afghan Taliban will always remain one, despite “western enforced borders”.

  1. The TTP is laughing at the inept Pakistani government…the murderers are free to continue their killing and the government will not fight them but only insist on talks which the Taliban have refused….is the country led by cowards?…thousand a of citizens have been killed by TTP and nothing is done about it…the USA has done more to stop terrorism in Pakistan than the Pakistan govt has….apparently the safety of the people and their right to live in peace means nothing to govt officials…they only want to placate the mullahs and extremists…your country is dieing a slow death by the Taliban killers and your govt. is helpless to stop them…the word cowards comes to mind…

    • Are you Eddy from fraiser. I guess you are. For your information usa is talking to talbans in Afghanistan for long time. Now what is the definition of coward? your country is owned by china financially that's what called dying slowly.

    • They killed innocent civilians because they are terrorists sponsored by terrorists. The bigger question is why usa kill civilians. Any body have the courage to call them terrorists. Why Israel kill civilians in gaza.

  2. I was taught never see who is saying it, but listen to what is being said. It is so strange, a real fact is mentioned by TTP. Pakistan was an amputated state from the beginning. Anyone who doubt my words should read about the carving of British & Princely India. Rad Cliffe was the designated main butcher. He leaked the confidential information in advance to Indian leadership. I will give only one classical example, why at the last minute Gurdaspur was given to India (think about access to Kashmir)? Why some states which wanted to join Pakistan were not allowed to do so ? While other which wanted to stay free were not allowed? Jinnah overestimated a lot.

    • What you have stated may be true, but what does that have to do with the mess that we have created? We have been governing this country since 1947, but what policies have we implemented and actions we taken to ensure that we prosper and progress? Did the Britishers plan Zia-ul-Haq for us who seeded this militancy? or did they advise Bhutto to nationalize all schools and industry so that there will be no innovation done in this country and the education system will go down the drain? What have we done to improve out own education system? I mean, if we stop pointing fingers at others and start looking at ourselves, we might be able to find the answers.

  3. If you ask these misguided mullahs to interpret Shriah, they will most likely start twerling their thumbs and looking at each other. Things like chopping hands of those who steal is by no means equivalent to imposition of Shariah. Laws need to be interpreted based on the era that we live in and not based on the circumstances that existed over 1400 years ago. Where in the Shariah it is suggested that you start killing innocent and unarmed people based on what you believe? After conquring Makkah, did our prophet (PBUH) not say that those who take shelter in Abu Talib's house, who was a non-Muslim, would be pardoned?
