54 nominated in Rawalpindi carnage

The investigation team has presented the challan of 54 accused in Rawalpindi tragedy case in the court.

The challan of 31 other accused allegedly involved in the attack on the imam bargah is also in the offing, it was learnt.

According to the official sources, 160 people were held on Moharram 10 far attacks. Out of them 50 were released on being found innocent by the investigation teams.

As many as 70 people were held in connection with attacks on the worship places. Out of them, 31 are being nominated in the challan to be presented in the court. Five different cases have been instituted in this regard and out of the number 385 case is most important one which was filed in Ganj Mandi.
