Paul Walker’s brother may take over film role

Paul Walker’s younger brother Cody Walker has reportedly been asked to help complete “Fast & Furious 7” as a tribute to the late actor.

Paul was on a break from the upcoming movie when he tragically lost his life in a blaze after a car he was travelling in crashed into a pole in Santa Clarita, California Nov 30. He was 40.

“Producers had a string of meetings right after Paul’s death. They soon realised they needed someone who looked like Paul to finish the movie and that is when they approached his nearly identical brother, Cody,” a source told dailymail.co.uk.

“They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance and if it is a shot where they need Paul’s face in close up, they can use computer-generated imagery (CGI) later on.

Cody, 25, lives in Oregon, but he is currently staying at his mother Cheryl Walker’s home here.

“If Cody agrees, it’s because he wants to honour his brother’s memory. There are many details that still need to be worked out, but right now the family and cast and crew are all still grieving,” added the source.

Universal Pictures shut down production on the movie, which began in September, after they heard about Paul’s death.

A source previously insisted the company was deliberating whether the film could be salvaged by reworking the script to write out Paul’s character, Brian O’Conner.

“We are not commenting on the status of things at this point,” a spokesman said.
