In a shocking incident, a ticket checker was battered to death by four student passengers travelling on a Lahore bound train from Sheikhupura on Saturday morning.
According to media reports, the four students were traveling without tickets. Trouble began when the ticket checker asked them of their tickets and they entered into a heated argument. When the students could not produce tickets, he complained to the Lahore police on which the students brutally battered him.
The police arrested one student whereas three managed to escape.
The police took the ticket checker to the police station where he succumbed to his injuries, police official.
