The Police Foundation in light with the Supreme Court verdict on the National Police Foundation (NPF) land scandal, directing cancellation of plots doled out to the former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, his spouse and others influential, has started its proceedings.
Sources said on Saturday that notices were dispatched to 113 allotees of plots in the NPF, including Aziz, his wife and police high-ups, but they refused to receive them.
They said that now the NPF has decided to take unilateral action which ultimately ends in the cancellation of the plots to the 113 allotees.
During interrogation, former PML-N MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan, prime accuse in the NPF scandal had revealed that expensive plots were given to influential politicians and retired police officials free.
The Supreme Court had ordered cancellation of these plots after hearing the case.
