According to a statement on the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani´s website, Iran has successfully sent a monkey into the space as part of its space program .
According to the website, Iran successfully launched rocket ‘Pajohesh’( meaning Research) with the first time use of liquid feul. The statement further added that the monkey on the rocket was returned to earth safely.
It did mention the date of the launch.
Iran has made similar technology related claims in the past too, which are often difficult to verify.
