Former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf could not be indicted in the rental power plants (RPPs) case on Saturday and hearing of the case was adjourned until January 3.
Raja’s counsel Farooq H Naek told the accountability court that his client had no charge of corruption instead he has been blamed for getting the machinery shifted from one place to another.
He requested the court to adjourn the hearing until the decision of the two accused of this case under hearing in the Lahore High Court.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing until January 03.
Talking to media following appearance in the court, Raja said that a vicious propaganda was launched against him without any investigation into the allegations against him.
The former prime minister said he wished that all the facts should come to fore for which he kept silent all this time. He said that he has submitted to the court and the God awaiting justice in his case. He said that the corruption of Rs 22 billion has been alleged against him.
