On the directives of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Rapid Response Force of Rangers will be deployed in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
This was announced by Islamabad Inspector General Sikander Hayat who presided over a meeting of higher officers of police and Rangers including RPO Rawalpindi Akhtar Umer Hayat, Sector Commander Rangers Breg. Khalid Khan Jadoon, Rawalpindi SSP (Operations) Muhammad Maqbool and others.
On the occasion, the IG said that miscreants and anti social elements in the twin cities will be dealt with iron hand. He said that a joint operation will be conducted in the katchi abadis (slums) of the twin cities.
Security cameras will be installed on the toll plazas for surveillance and crackdown will be conducted to arrest the absconders, proclaimed offenders, dacoits and criminal elements.
