Noted Pakistani singer Adnan Sami does not have enough funds to waste on lawyers or repair a flat he stays in, as per his submission before the Bombay High court. The case pertains to a dispute between Sami and his second, now divorced, wife Sabah Galadari regarding a flat in Oberoi Sky Garden building at Lokhandwala, Andheri.
Sami on Thursday told a division bench of Justice A S Oka and Justice S C Gupte that he was not properly advised by lawyers and therefore, he was appearing before the court in person.
Sabah has been seeking exclusive possession of the duplex on 13th and 14th of the building. Sami, however, has offered her the 12th floor flat, saying that he stays in the duplex with his third wife Roya Faribi and practises his music there, a contention accepted by the single judge in the October 2010 judgment.
