Militants continue their hunt in North Waziristan

  • Two killed, 14 injured as militants bomb security forces’ convoy at Speen Wam


At least two people were killed and 14 others were injured when militants targeted a security forces’ convoy with an improvised explosive device (IED) at Speen Wam, North Waziristan on Thursday afternoon.

A security official at Miranshah headquarters said that the convoy was on its way from Speen Wam to Mirali when it was targeted with an IED. As a result of the explosion, a vehicle within the convoy was destroyed whereas two on board were killed and 14 were injured, he said.

According to reports, the injured soldiers have been shifted to a military hospital in a critical condition.

So far, no one has claimed the responsibility for the attack.

After the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud, the security concerns have risen in North Waziristan.
