The UN peacekeepers has launched operations against the Rwandan ethnic Hutu rebels in Kalembe, Masisi, according to a tweet by the UN mission in Democratic Republic of Congo ‘Monusco.’
According to the twitter account, Monusco’s intervention brigade have launched an offensive against the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda on Tuesday.
UN has recently authorised its peacekeepers in Congo pursue and operate against militia and rebels in the region.
