The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has made an appeal to the Supreme Court on Tuesday to hear cases of its missing workers.
The party’s Rabita Committee in a statement said that steps should be immediately taken for the recovery of their activists.
According to the MQM, as many as 34 activists have gone missing during the on-going security operation.
The statement stated that the party workers were arrested by different law enforcement agencies during the current operation. But they have not been presented in the court, nor is there any information on their whereabouts.
The MQM lauded the verdict of missing persons cases, saying that the cases of its party workers should be handled in the same way.
The party said that during the 1990s operation, at least 28 of its workers went missing and have still not been recovered.
