Upon joining Lahore Development Authority (LDA), in pursuance of Punjab government notification, Ammara Khan (PAS/BS-18) has been posted as LDA additional director general (Housing).
Moazzam Iqbal Sipra has been posted as project manager in LDA Strategic Policy Unit.
RIDDING OF ENCROACHMENTS: Meanwhile, staff of the Enforcement Directorate carried out an operation against encroachments at Barkat Market, GardenTown on Wednesday and removed all roadside encroachments in the area. The LDA staff also confiscated five trucks loads of goods at this occasion.
COMMERCIALIZATION: In the meantime, LDA has directed the people interested in commercialisation of Khayaban-e-Jinnah, from Shoukat Khanum Chowk to Raiwind Road, for appearing before the District Planning and Design Committee today at 11am. They have further been asked to submit their objections and recommendations in this regard in written form so that necessary action could be taken in the light of their stance.
The LDA through a communiqué on Wednesday announced that open auction of 42 commercial as well as residential plot of different housing schemes of LDA will be held on 16 December at LDA Community Centre, NewMuslimTown, at 10am. These plots are situated in JoharTown, Sabazazar, MustafaTown and JubileeTown housing schemes.
