The Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered the Inspector General of Frontier Corps Maj Gen Ijaz Shahid on Wednesday to produce the missing persons in front of the DG of Crime Investigation Deparment (CID) according to a private news channel.
Acting inspector general FC, Brigadier Khalid Naseem, appeared in the apex court which was hearing a contempt of court notice against Inspector General of Frontier Corps Maj Gen Ijaz Shahid.
Maj Gen Shahid was served contempt of court notice for not appearing in the court on SC order, for a missing persons case from Balochistan to explaining the non-appearance of the FC personnel before the Crime Investigation Department of Balochistan which is looking in to the case of missing persons.
The notice was issued last week to the FC chief when he failed to appear before the SC bench on December 5. The court had already issued a warning of facing contempt charges if he fails to appear before it on December 5.
The hearing was adjourned until 19 December with the court segregating the IG FC court contempt case from the Balochistan’s missing persons case.
