The police have managed to arrest another 19 accused allegedly involved in Ashura Muharram carnage of Rawalpindi after which total number of detained culprits has reached to 54.
Talking to reporters on Monday, Rawalpindi Regional Police Office (RPO) Umer Hayat Laleka said that the arrested 19 culprits of Rawalpindi tragedy were identified through CCTV footage and have been taken into custody.
He informed that arrest of four to six more accused was expected in the next couple of days.
RPO Umer Hayat lauded the role of intelligence agencies in tracing and arresting the culprits.
He said that detained culprits were being interrogated and information provided by them can lead to more arrests.
