The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its coalition partners continue to block NATO supplies for sixteenth consecutive day on Sunday.
The activists of PTI and other parties reiterated that the protest would continue until the US stops drone strikes. Protest camps have been established at Hayatabad toll plaza to check the documents of trucks and only those are allowed which carry goods other than NATO supplies. Security has been heightened to avoid any untoward situation in Peshawar.
The sit-in started following a protest rally held by PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
The protest rally was held to condemn the drone strike in Hangu that killed six people.
Imran Khan asserted that drone strikes were in violation of international laws and should be immediately stopped.
He slammed the PML-N government for its dual policy over drone strikes and announced to stage a sit-in until drone strikes were stopped in the region.
