Up-coming accountants on the groove… ICAP awards certificates to passed out CA finalists

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) on Wednesday evening organised a ceremony to award examination certificates to those students who had passed CA final examination held in summer 2013.

The certificates of merit were also given away to those students who had performed outstandingly in the Final and Foundation/Intermediate Examinations of Summer 2013.

In his welcome address, ICAP President Naeem Akhtar Sheikh felicitated the newly qualified CAs and exhorted them to be optimistic, positive and innovative in the changing and challenging corporate world.

He said that the path to success can be achieved by setting high standards, and efforts should be made to reach to such standards.

Naeem emphasized on improving interpersonal skills and broadening horizons to bring the best possible changes in organisations.

While addressing the gathering, Gul Ahmed Energy Limited Chairman Iqbal Ali Mohammad advised qualifiers to adopt a goal because without it young CAs cannot achieve acme in their lives.

ICAP former president Dawood Patel greeted the newly qualified CAs and said that the young CAs to should be pragmatic in their approach and should always follow the path of integrity, honesty and dedication.

Patel assured the passing out CAs that accounting profession is highly rewarding and carries tangible and intangible benefits for those who wish to work with devotion and pride.

During the ceremony, videos were also played about the life cycle of a CA student.

The ceremony, organised by Southern Regional Committee of ICAP, was also attended by ICAP Council members, its past presidents, Southern Regional Committee members, eminent professionals and parents of newly qualified CAs.
