The central bank on Tuesday said it had tightened its security in view of the deteriorating law and order situation in the city.

According to new security plan, entry for the general public to banking halls of State Bank of Pakistan, Karachi SBP BSC and North Nazimabad offices shall only be allowed on production of original CNIC.

“No one would be allowed to bring mobile phones inside SBP premises,” said the State Bank.

Government employees visiting the bank’s premises shall also carry official ID cards, it said.
