The Operational Committee (OC) has decided to extend the circle of operation in the city under the command of rangers, while targeted operations will be kept secret.
On Tuesday, the meeting of OC held under the presiding of Director General (DG) Rangers Major General Rizwan Akthar, where progress of operation against outlaw elements and members of banned organisations was overviewed.
The meeting was attended by additional IG, sector commanders, DIG East, DIG CID and other high officials.
During meeting, some spots were identified under eyeing the recent incidents of target killing, while it was also supposed that only one group is involved in recent target killing incidents.
Discussing the increased incidents of target killings, it was said in meeting that some militant wings are behind this criminal activity that want to spread lawlessness in the city.
It was decided in the meeting to escalate the targeted operation and to launch the fresh operation in the city.
