The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will jointly present a resolution to the federal government in the wake of drone attacks and suspension of NATO supplies.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee in a meeting in Islamabad decided to set aside all the pressure to unblock NATO supplies.
The PTI has asked KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and ministers to meet the federal government officials on December 5. They will present a resolution in this regard. The decision came at a time when the PTI and the Jamaat-e-Islami had launched a drive against NATO supplies.
Separately, the sit-in staged by the PTI and its allied parties to block the NATO supplies continued for the ninth consecutive day on Sunday.
The sit-in against drone strike in Hangu started after a protest rally in Peshawar.
The PTI along with activists of the JI and the Awami Jamhoori Ittehad blocked various points, including Peshawar’s Ring Road, Hayatabad toll plaza, Khairabad area and Sawabi interchange to choke Nato containers.
According to details, the activists checked documents of trucks and screened goods to block NATO supplies.
Meanwhile, five activists accused of torturing a truck driver have been arrested. According to police, raids were being conducted to arrest others involved in the torture.

  1. As long as these protests against NATO supplies continues there will be no peace talks!…think about it! why will the TTP/Taliban come to peace talks when the protestors are working to stop drones which is the only thing that stops the TTP?…the protesters are actually working on behalf of the terrorists?…they will have no reason to talk with the government about peace while the PTI and the JI are fighting the government for them?
